Pasquale Ferrante for Vogue Turkey

I’ve been able to work with Pasquale a few times now. I had the opportunity to assist him with my friend Sylvia Wheeler for Vogue Italia here in LA. I also got to work for him a few days in New York for a Nordstrom campaign. I was already a fan of his salon in Soho called “Ion”. Upon meeting him I found out that he was a former employee of Toni&Guy which is where I began my career. At that point I found it appropriate to pick his brain, which I always do, whether they like it or not. He was actually really open and talkative about his journey and how he ended up shooting for Vogue Italia. Some of the things he said were encouraging, and some quite disheartening. Either way, he was real and honest and I felt really good after working with him. A couple of months later, I was in New York and I contacted him. He got me on a job there too, Nordstrom, as I mentioned before. That gave me a chance to pick his brain even more. I was strongly considering moving to NY at that point and the thought of continuing to work for Pasquale definitely sweetened the deal. He is a very talented hairdresser and he takes his work seriously without taking himself seriously. No nonsense, no attitude, just a really great guy. Here is some of his recent work with Vogue….
