“The 4th photographic series by New York photographer Erik Madigan Heck and London-based Greek designer Mary Katrantzou curbs the hyper-colour style that marked their earlier collaborations, aligning with the subtleties of Katrantzou’s AW13 collection to adopt a brooding black and white palette that re-focuses the attention on the details of garment construction. Referencing x-ray photography and early medical photographs, the series reiterates Katrantzou’s seasonal print story – an exploration of historical and landscape photography from the likes of Edward Steichen and Alfred Stieglitz.
