Anthony Turner started work at a Toni & Guy salon in the UK at just 17 years old, where he learnt the basics of hairstyling. He quickly became passionate about using hair as a form of self-expression, as “a democratic way of showing who we are, and our ideas and values.” After two years of training, he moved to London and joined the Taylor Taylor London salon at 21. With great respect for hair stylist Guido Paulo, he offered his services and found himself as first assistant to the master stylist at New York Fashion Week, before joining his team permanently.
An instinctive stylist, his work relies heavily on his mood and inspiration at the time, capturing the zeitgeist with panache through his dynamic, flamboyant styles. A regular on-set with photographers Alasdair McLellan, Craig McDean, Glen Luchford, Mikael Jansson and Willy Vanderperre, Anthony Turner has campaign shots and shows to his name for labels like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jil Sander, Dior and Givenchy.
