Hairdresser Tom Connell recently sent us an email expressing his appreciation for Lost Hairdressers, and we really appreciate that. He also shared a recent editorial and accompanying video that he and his team put together, which we thought was really well done and what you would expect coming from the Sorbie team. Here is a little about about him and what he’s up to.
I’ve been working for Trevor Sorbie for 5 years, I am a member of the Artistic team and I run the Art Team Part Deux, a team to help develop young talent. In the last 5 years my work has changed drastically. Trevor has helped me develop my taste and confidence to the point where I don’t mind making mistakes in the search for new ideas, because that’s the whole thing for me. I want to create something new, and leave my mark on the industry. I believe it’s something I will achieve, but either way, I’m going to have a good time trying.
Art Team Part Deux Is a team set up to provide a platform for the young members of the Trevor Sorbie Team to develop their skills and taste, the members are Federico D’Abate, James Storer, Jason Lawrence, Jonny Peevers, Tom Arnett, Rosie Tappin, Ben Bradley and Fergal j. Doyle. Every one of these guys is young, hungry and since the team was set up 6 months ago their improvement has been massive. For the team, their number one aim is developing new ideas, which creates an atmosphere that is great to be around and feed off. They work on their own personal projects as well as assisting the Artistic Team and will play a big part in the future of the company.
